Credits & refunds

Failed pages return credits. Money follows verified payment records.

Cosmic Translate separates automatic credit restoration from a monetary refund. This policy records the current private-beta practice for one-time credit packs. Checkout is live and never starts an automatic subscription.

Automatic credit restoration

If a translation is charged but fails before a completed result is delivered, the service attempts to restore the same amount to the original credit buckets. Interrupted runs are reconciled after restart, and idempotency prevents a duplicate retry or webhook from creating an extra grant.

One-time purchase requests

The beta catalogue contains one-time credit packs and no automatic renewal. A refund request for an unused credit pack must be sent within 14 days of purchase to subin.wutt@gmail.com, with the account email, Stripe receipt or reference, purchase date, amount, and reason. A reader must never send a card number.

Refunds, disputes, and credit debt

When Stripe reports a partial refund, full refund, or dispute, unused credits from that purchase are reversed proportionally and only once. If purchased credits were already spent, the account can carry non-spendable credit debt. Later grants repay that debt before becoming available.

Payment timing

An approved monetary refund returns through Stripe to the original payment method. We aim to review complete requests within five business days; the bank or payment provider may then take up to 10 business days to show the refund. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
